? Ladies and Gentlemen today I am going to talk to you about the letter T . It’s a good letter
and I like it. It starts off a lot of good words. Words like tenacity ,trails and tribulations and
triumph. More importantly are words like thought, truth and trust in because of these great words
that I have chosen to embody myself as said letter. These words that are so crucial if we as a
people, as Americans, are going to rise up and take control of this depressing state that we have
so complacently called our daily lives. But out of all these words I believe there is one that best
describes how I and the rest of the American people feel, that word is....tired. I’m tired of
working my fingers to the bone to pay my bills when I should be home with my family. I’m tired
of seeing more and more money thrown at public education only to see graduates know less and
less. I’m tired of watching the government waste my hard earned dollar that I cried, sweat, and
bled for. I’m tired of having no faith in politics because no matter the party or candidate its
always the same empty promise of real change. But what tires me out the most is letting other
people run my country and my life into the ground. This country was founded by and for the
people, but when was the last time you felt like the government had your best interests at heart?
This country was founded by the people which means that the real authority in this country does
not rest in the hands of congress or the president but with the everyday individual strong enough
to take a stand for what they believe. If we take charge of this great gift that our fore fathers so
graciously bestowed upon us, that through out our history great men and women have fought and
died to protect. If take full advantage of its potential we can cause true change. But we must
remember one thing, An effective Democracy is not made by blindly charging into the ideal or
convenient but is based on the belief that with courage, compassion and compromise, we as a
people can become strong
